Bladder 43 - Gao Huang Shu (BL 38)

“ Vital’s Hollow” “The Vital’s Diaphram” “Incurable Shu” (referring to the diseases that are above and below the heart and above the diaphram and considered the deepest in the body and thus incurable)

Oblique 0.3-0.5 toward scapula, or 15-30 thread moxa, or Kyutoshin moxa or newspaper moxa followed by thread moxa; arms must be stretched forward to open point

Special Point for Hematopoiesis, Special Point for Blood


* Regulates the Lung Qi - pulmonary TB, cough, asthma, hemoptysis, bronchitis, pleurisy, hiccoughs, dyspnea, dry phlegm, warm Lung Qi with garlic moxa

* Treats Conditions from Genetic or Prenatal Conditions - disorders from in-utero conditions, disorders that are genetically predisposed, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic disorders, chemotherapy side-effects, radiation side-effects


* Strengthens Deficient Conditions - Qi Xu, night sweats, poor memory, seminal emission, spermatorrhea, neurasthenia, anemia, general weakness from prolonged illness, consumptive deficient diseases, deficient Spleen and stomach, absent-mindedness, madness, weakness, emaciation, five types of weariness, difficulty speaking, chronic disorders of the Spirit, Lung and Heart, increases Wei Qi, gestational high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, gestational nausea, gestational headaches

* Clears Obstructions from the Channels - diagnostic for neck and shoulder problems, respiratory problems or emotional problems, right side diagnostic for liver problems, indigestion, gastric pain, vomiting, abdominal distention, constipation, lumbago, madness, pain along the spine, shoulder pain
