Heart 3 - Shao Hai

“Lesser Sea”(referring to point as He-Sea Point or Sea of the Shao Yin Channel)

Water Point, He-Sea Point


* Calms the Spirit - neurasthenia, psychosis, Yang madness, ‘joy of life’ point, forgetfulness, epilepsy, schizophrenia, eyes dizzy, diplopia, fainting, stupidity, depression, bleats like a sheep, hysteria

* Regulates the Heart Qi - palpitations, cardiac arrhythmia, rheumatic heart disease, angina, dysuria, chest pain, cardiac pain


* Clears the Vessels, Relaxes Tendons, Invigorates Collaterals - spasm of little finger, ulnar nerve neuritis, cold fingers, itching of groin, hand tremor, contracture of the elbow, pain in the axilla and hypochondriac region, hand and fingers cold, toothache, intercostal neuralgia, facial neuralgia, spasm of shoulders or arm, cannot move limbs, shoulder pain on SI meridian, numb forearm, spasmodic pain and numbness of arm and hand, reduces pain of spasm of scalaneus when pain at C3 to T 1 (with Lu 8, Kid 16, CV 15 and Sp 3.2), pain due to rotation of L 5 causing low back pain, sciatica, vertebral disc injury between L 4and 5 or L 5 and S 1
* Disperses Qi and Blood - headache due to Wind and Cold, pleurisy, torticollis, fever with sensation of cold, feels like energy going to top of body, 

* Disperses Wind from Deficient Blood - Parkinson’s Disease, infant trembling, pruritis, mineral imbalance (with SI 8, CV 6, Sp 10, Kid 16)

* Transforms Phlegm - scrofula, excess drooling, lumps on neck, glandular disease, lymphadenitis
