“Adjoining Valleys” “Union Valley” (Referring to location on index finger)

Perpendicular 0.5 - 1.0“, Oblique 1.5”, or moxa, Contraindicated in pregnancy
Source Point, Point of Entry, Command Point for Nose, Face, Jaw and Mouth Area, Special Point for Thyroid Gland

Diagnostic for motor functions of the brain (atrophy) or injury to C5 and T1 vertebrae
            

 
* Clears Wind - headache, frontal headache, sinusitis, facial paralysis, hemiplegia, locked jaw due to stroke, Wind rash with LI 11, scabies, moxa with thread moxa for high blood pressure with pulsing at He Gu, pruritis, sequela of stroke, allergies, itching of skin (bleed)

* Stops Pain - neurasthenia, pain relief, pain in the eyes, red eyes, dental work, toothache of lower jaw, neuralgia of scapular area and renal areas, Hot Bi Syndrome, abdominal pain, pain in internal organs, migraine, dyspnea, fibromyalgia (w/ Liv 3)

 
* Activates Dispersing Function of the Lungs - strengthens Wei Qi for immunity increase, adjusts sweating, anhydrosis, hydrosis, night sweats (tonify with Kid 7 reduced for excess sweat, to turn sweat on - reduce and tonify Kid 7), malaria, facial edema, throat blockage

* Relieves Exterior Conditions - Wind Heat or Wind Cold, cough, fullness in the chest, common cold, insufficient sweat with Kid 7, hay fever
