* Clears Heat - cardiac pain, palpitation, irritability, febrile diseases, feverish sensation in palm, angina, heat exhaustion, high fever, delirium, fever with distress and melancholy but no sweat, body like fire, hypertension, Yang diseases with fever

* Restores Consciousness - loss of consciousness, aphasia with stiffness of tongue, infantile convulsions, shock, apoplectic coma, fainting, post-partum fainting, cerebral congestion


* Clears Obstructions from the Channels - stomach pain, hypertension, severe fright, vomiting and diarrhea, hypotension, poor memory, poor speech, due to aphasia, throat pain (Tan)
